So today I really do have something fairly interesting to share with the world, and that, of course, would be that MK and I are engaged! On thursday I took her up to Friendship field off the Blue Ridge and we spent a nice (very very cold) romantic time frolicking in the field.
Meanwhile, back at Thunder Hill, various very good friends of mine where preparing for our arrival…
As the sun set and the temperature dropped I stalled for time as she became more and more antsy (and cold). Finally I got the text I was waiting for and nonchalantly suggested walking back to the car. As we rounded the bend to Thunder Hill, before us the hills crowning apple tree was hung with flickering lanterns swaying in the stiff wind. There the question was asked, and the answer was yes. The moment I slipped the ring on her finger was a moment I will never forget.
From there we went to the an amazingly special after party where we were roasted by our incredibly special friends and left with love tanks full.
So there you have it bachelorhood is on it’s way out, married life here I come!
